2025 City Budget Finalized

In late December, Cuyahoga Falls City Council approved a $268 million budget for 2025. Budget highlights include:

  • The new River Loop project, which will begin in May and add additional amenities to our downtown area

  • A new fire station and state-of-the-art training center to ensure our firefighters have access to the newest tools and technology

  • Rebuilding of Valley Vista Park

  • Six additional fire personnel

  • An additional sergeant and four additional patrol officers for the Police Department

We have also increased our city's road paving budget by $1 million over 2024, and doubled our investment in sidewalks. You can read more about 2025 repaving projects below.

The City's General Fund had a carry over balance of over $26 million, the highest in Cuyahoga Falls history.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to City Finance Director Bryan Hoffman and his team for their hard work and careful stewardship of the City's budget. In March, the City was awarded the Auditor of State Award with Distinction for a clean audit report.
